A Story: "Legend of the Lantire"
Here's part of a story I'm working on called "Legend of the Lantire":
Long ago there was someone named Drakula (pronounced "Drake-ula"). He had blond hair. He wore a cape that was as black as night. He had small fangs, red pants, and a black shirt.
There was something batty about his brothers: they were immortal, which meant they would never die unless they were stabbed in the heart.
A man passed by and grabbed Drakula and turned him into a Lantire!

A man passed by and grabbed Drakula and turned him into a Lantire!
But he took one look and froze solid. He had become Drakula's victim.

A Poem: Clown Parade
Clown Parade
Yellow and blue, blue and red,
clowns and jokers are coming ahead.
A big parade is heading down the road,
putting on a big show.
Clowns have blue noses and red noses,
pink noses and yellow noses.
They give balloons and candies and toys to the children.
They do flips and twirls and funny kinds of dances.
They juggle and ride on bikes and unicycles.
They make silly faces and hop on one foot
and make people laugh.

A Poem: Dragons
Dragons
Dragons all over are attacking the city.
They steal gold that is so pretty.
They breathe fire
And wreck cars and scratch tires.
They're STOMPING and CRUSHING and ROARING and EATING!
They ROAR and they STOMP!
And they STOMP and they ROAR!
They breathe fire...
And they have finished burning the city.

A Poem: Colors of the Night
Colors of the Night
The color of the night,
The color of flight,
And the color of Lantire light,
Are all darkness.
